Editing to Perfection!

We have officially entered the trenches of the editing stage, YAY! To edit, we are using iMovie on our phones, as we are comfortable with it and have easy access to it. Thankfully, we got most of the flashbacks aligned during the filming process, as seen in the previous blog post. However, today during class time, we worked on fixing these alignments to appear as seamless as possible. We realized a hard truth during this process that the transitions are not going to be completely seamless, and perhaps it can be better that way, as it can grow increasingly apparent that the red scenes are flashbacks weaving with the blue performance, and the somewhat choppy cuts show the choppy, broken aspects of the character herself. Our transitions are simple cuts and this way it ensures the choppy, while still seamless, transition between past and present, and builds suspense.
